THE EPIC SIGNATURE

Don’t think in
speakers and wires.
Think in outcomes.

It’s not Epic unless it kicks ass.

We start with the experience you want to create and engineer the technology around it.

Audio, network, Wi-Fi, video, security and control—built as infrastructure your staff can actually operate.

Great sound creates energy.

Great technology disappears.

And great systems grow with your business.

We value-engineer the how. We don’t value-engineer the outcome.

We can find smarter ways to deliver the design. What we won’t do is compromise the performance standard just to produce the lowest number on a spreadsheet.

Make the energy unforgettable. Keep the technology under control.

From the energy on the training floor to the systems behind the front desk, EPIC brings audio, television, cabling, cameras and rack integration into one coordinated installation.

SUPPORT, DESIGNED IN

A smarter way to service the rack.

Rack PCs provide a practical point of access for firmware and software maintenance and technician diagnosis, helping technicians investigate issues and isolate hardware faults.

AV/IT coordination for fitness construction

For general contractors building gyms and fitness studios, EPIC coordinates with the general contractor and project electrician to integrate audio, video and IT into the construction schedule, including installation and organized cable routing.

WHOLE GYM SOLUTIONS

Whole gym audio,
video & IT systems.

An immersive sound experience designed to help members find their rhythm, push harder and bring their best to each workout: smooth musical detail, controlled power and bass they can feel.

Smooth. Sexy. Powerful.

EPIC designs for a smooth, sexy musical experience with bass that hits you in the chest. Integrated speakers, subwoofers and precise tuning bring weight, clarity and drive to the training floor. Each zone is shaped for its purpose, from a welcoming reception to an energized workout space.

More screens. One plan.

Bring entertainment to the workout floor with a coordinated display and distribution design. EPIC supplies and installs TVs and designs the distribution system behind them. An internal QAM cable-TV network can deliver 1080-resolution video, letting users select programming simply by changing the TV channel. For projects requiring flexible source routing, EPIC also designs AV-over-IP systems with network-based matrix switching. Compatible source signals can be converted into television channels at a central equipment location, combined and distributed over coaxial cabling. Compatible televisions tune the available channels, allowing multiple screens to share centrally located sources. Source count, channel format, cable layout and display compatibility are selected together so the system fits the facility and its planned expansion.

Business connectivity comes first

Robust wired and Wi-Fi infrastructure supports business communications. A custom, isolated guest network uses bandwidth limits and session controls to help preserve business capacity during busy periods. EPIC coordinates these policies and network configuration with your IT provider.

Cameras and recording

Client-directed placement prioritizes injury-prone and theft-sensitive areas. Clear high-definition recording supports incident review, helps deter theft and helps manage liability risk.

Installed, measured and tuned

EPIC uses acoustic measurements and listening checks to align speakers and subwoofers, adjust equalization and delay, verify levels, and test paging priority. Final settings reflect the installed room and the intended listening experience.

Remote expertise. Local hands-on support.

Your system is managed from our office. The lead technician who installs your gym provides local, hands-on support for physical equipment needs that remote access cannot resolve.

Control, support and project delivery

Music, announcements and convenient control

Front-desk paging can automatically lower music in designated zones while announcements are made. Tablet-based control provides access to supported system functions. Source routing, zone levels and paging behavior are programmed for the agreed operating needs.

An organized foundation

Every system includes a rack PC. The handover plan covers agreed system drawings, a walkthrough of everyday controls, and guidance on requesting support. Remote support requires a working network connection and authorized access. Service arrangements and hands-on support are coordinated for each facility.

Entry-system hardware

Selected intercom, reader and control-hub installation can be included. Door hardware supply, installation and configuration responsibilities are defined individually.

From the floor plan to the handover

  1. Define the priorities. Review the floor plan, activity areas, desired audio experience, television locations, camera views and front-desk needs.
  2. Coordinate the design. Develop the system layout, source and connection plan, equipment-rack arrangement and responsibilities for client-furnished equipment and other trades.
  3. Install and verify. Install the agreed systems, test cabling and connections, and commission the audio for the completed space.
  4. A clear handover for your team. Retain audio settings as a service reference, walk through everyday controls, and clarify responsibilities between EPIC, your technician and your IT provider.

GROUP FITNESS ROOM SOLUTIONS

Group fitness audio.
Music and instruction.

Instructor-led rooms need energy and intelligibility together. RTR Pilates illustrates our approach to separate voice and music systems.

Instructor voice overhead

Dedicated pendant speakers distribute instruction across the participant area, bringing the instructor's voice closer to each listener.

Program audio up front

Front loudspeakers and subwoofer reinforcement deliver the music. Separate routing, processing and level controls balance voice and program audio.

Simple class controls

The RTR iPad interface puts microphone, music and subwoofer levels within reach. Source selection and system controls are tailored to the instructor's needs.

A dependable backup

A dedicated media player provides an offline music source when Wi-Fi or streaming is unavailable. The RTR brochure describes the TASCAM CD-400U backup approach.

Designed before installation

Speaker quantity and placement are planned for the room, its participants and the class format, from Pilates and cycle to HIIT and other group fitness.

Calibrated in the room

Measurements and listening checks refine levels, equalization, crossover, delay and polarity after installation.

THE EPIC APPROACH

Performance starts
with the details.

Excellent, robust system design is the foundation. Careful calibration and practical service access help carry that thinking into everyday operation.

See our fitness specialty

Understand the space

Start with how the room is used, what people need and how the systems should work together.

Design with intention

Consider coverage, signal paths, infrastructure and control as parts of one connected system.

Refine the experience

Apply an audio calibration methodology that accounts for the listening environment.

Plan for the long run

Build in practical access for diagnosis and firmware and software maintenance.
